- Course objectives
- "Not everyone can be a dancer, but everyone has the right to achieve mastery over their body, and thus the possibility of self-expression and self-confidence stemming from self-knowledge." (E. Blažeková) The aim of the course is to enable students to get to know their body in motion more closely and consciously and to get acquainted with various ways to work with it both for their own pleasure and with children. Emphasis will be placed especially on the interconnection of musical means of expression with movement means, as it is their mutual synthesis that enhances the effect of their perception. The purpose of the course is to provide students with a safe and tolerant environment for their own movement and musical experiences, which can further lead them to a holistic approach to musical-physical activities towards both personal development and inter-artistic, interdisciplinary, and above all interpersonal cooperation.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course, the student will: - apply knowledge of the function of the human body and musical means of expression to various musical-movement activities - be familiar with the repertoire of selected folk, social and modern popular songs and dances; - be encouraged to use various stimuli from the field of literature and fine arts for musical and movement playing; - be motivated to apply procedures leading to the development of musical and movement creativity both in their own creative activities and in their pupils; - be led to use the acquired knowledge and experience in their own teaching.
