Course objectives
This subject is focused on education of children with special education needs in preschool age.
Learning outcomes
After completing the subject the students will acquire the basic terminology of the field; will be oriented in legislative measures related to the education of children with special educational needs.
Syllabus
WARP: The current concept of special education, system of pre-school care for the disabled, possibilities of inclusion, legislation. Basic terminology, categories, methods in special pedagogy for preschool children. Etiology, classification of individual disorders and defects, possibilities of re-education, application to preschool children. Framework educational program for preschool education. Prevention and areas of special pedagogical diagnosis of preschool children.

Teaching methods
Lecture - accompanied by an interactive discussion on the selected topic.
Assessment methods
Topic of the seminar work: Children with special educational needs in a pre-school inclusive environment. The work will be posted in the subject drop-in office until 12/31/2024. Scope: 3 to 4 A4 pages. Completion: online test, 30 questions. 20 correct answers are required to complete.
Náhradní absolvování
In the case of a trip abroad, it is possible to complete the subject in a substitute form. After returning from the trip, it is possible to take the final online test and hand in the seminar work to the subject drop-in office in IS.
