- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to provide the audience with knowledge of health psychology, resilience and resilience, especially from the perspective of developmental psychology. Issues of resilience in development and dealing with challenging life situations will be discussed and their overlap with working with pupils with special educational needs.
- Learning outcomes
- Student will: * Know the basics of resilience theory and resilience psychology, * be able to apply developmental perspectives to work with risky behaviours, * know the practical application of coping strategies in education and personal growth.
- Syllabus
- Main themes (syllabus): 1. Introduction, definition, content of the subject. 2. Issues of Developmental Psychology and Health Psychology, 3. Critical and Sensitive Period, Developmental Tasks and Crisis (Erikson). 4. The concept of psychological deprivation in childhood (Langmeier and Matějček). 5. Motivation, Aspiration, Relationship to Authority. 6. Social inclusion. 7. The temperament of the child and its influence on thinking and acting. 8. Resilience issues. 9. Resilience development. 10. Coping strategies. 11. Stress, fatigue. 12. The burn-out syndrome.
