Course objectives
The aim of the course if to introduce basics of technique and methodics of basic swimming training and skating taking the specialties of children education into account.
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction, theory of skating. Methodics of basic skating training of children, injury prevention. 2. Basic practice focusing on ride forward, stoping, ride in curves, step over step forward ride, backward ride, turns, jumps, games on ice. 3. Basic swimming concepts, basics of swimming hygiene and safety, preparatory exercises on the ground. 4. Preparatory exercises and games in order to be acquainted with and oriented in water, flowing, breathing into water. Falls and jumps into water. Elementary swimming of the freestyle, backstroke and breakstroke, swimming coordination of these styles with breathing. 5. Helping tired swimmer, rescuing a drowning person.
