Course objectives
On the base of individual consultations with the head of the thesis, the student should choose an appropriate topic that concerns the Czech language teaching for the first grade of elementary schools. He or she is well oriented in the literature related to the chosen topic and can use the methods resulting from quantitative and qualitative research, such as content analysis of a text, written test, structured and unstructured interview ... He or she is able to interpret the results of the research correctly.
Syllabus
  • 1. Consulting of the researching plan (research of the dialects, research of the knowleges of the pupils...) 2. Presenting of the results of the work 3. Writing stylisation of the text of the diploma paper 4. Discuss the results.

Teaching methods
a) theoretical training – study of reference literature, expanding the base sources; b) practical part - his/her own research based on the established methodology, the evaluation of the collected and classified data, confrontation of the results with the hypothesis, processing of the material by means of procedures adequate to the style and standards of professional communication style.
Assessment methods
Type of course – individual consultation. The student receives the credit based on a good orientation in the scientific reference literature related to the selected topic. He or she applies the methods resulting from qualitative and quantitative research, such as: content analysis of a text, written test, structured and unstructured interview,... He or she can interpret the research results correctly.
