Course objectives
The objective of this subject is basic orientation in the translation theory. The emphasis is placed on the adequate translation of the vocabulary, collocation and phraseological units. The regular parts of seminaries forms practical training of the text translation from the commercial Russian: commercial contracts, business letters, application forms, publicistic texts and art and children literature.

  • Every studentin the course of the semester elaborates a statement on a given subject from the translation practice and theory.

Teaching methods
Seminar. Seminar. Attendance 80% (two absences allowed). Attendance is required also for these students who have the subject registered as repeated. To obtain the credit, the student must prepare regulary home translate - various styls.
Assessment methods
Student must prepare regulary home translation and show it to teacher. E-learning. To obtain credit student must translate comercial contract.
