Course objectives
The aim of this course is to prepare future preschool teachers for communication with children. With the help of a puppet they can establish contact with the child faster and look for solutions to various problems. During short model situations the use of puppets and objects puts emphasis on the development of imagination, creativity and vocabulary, it helps to minimise anxiety, develop communication skills etc. At the end of the course, the student will know the differences between various types of puppets, will be able to use the puppet for problem solving situations, animate objects, write a scenario for a puppet show, evaluate the importance of the puppet use for the development of imagination, fantasy and problem solving skills.
