- Abstract
- The course aims at supporting and further developing the students’ practical language competence (language skills in listening, reading, speaking and writing). At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
- express themselves freely on the topics which were the subject of discussion in the seminar (see “osnova”),
- use the most common vocabulary in connection with the discussed topics,
- understand texts in the discussed areas and to restate the main points in their own words.
- formulate their own point of view in regard of the discussed topics.
- To present a special topic and to discuss with other people about the topic. - Key topics
- The course covers four units of the textbook “Sicher B1+”, namely lections 5-8. In the course the skills will be trained according to level B1+.

- Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching

- Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
- Druing the semester, you must fullfill three written homeworks, prepare individual speech tasks, and suceed in the final exam at level B1 +. All tasks are rated with points. The examination at the end of the semester consists of five parts (listening, reading, writing, grammar / vocabulary and speaking) and is based on standardized testing formats (OSD, Goethe) at level B1+. Rating: You must at least 65% of 180 points to reach to be positive, (117 points). You also need to have obtained at least 15 points in each subarea. Further details are given in the IS.
