Course objectives
At the end of the course students acquire the skill of reading loud a literary text (poetry and prose). The output of this practical seminar, which also includes contactless teaching, is a performance of poetry reading. The most successful participants of the seminar represent the Faculty of Education at Wolkrův Prostějov Reading festival. The optional subject - Poetry reading has been updated in compliance with the Framework for Education in Primary Education in the field of Language and Communication.

  • 2. Dramaturgy of poetry reading.
  • 3. Interpretative analyses of selected texts.
  • 4. Reading of poetic and fictional texts.
  • 5. Interpretation, poetry reading.
  • 6. Performance of poetry reading at the final session of artistic reading.

Teaching methods
Konsultation - textual analysis. Students will further develop their literary knowledge and interpretational skills. Practical seminar.
Assessment methods
Type of completion: a successful performance of poetry reading at the final session of artistic reading which is held at the end of each term.
