Course objectives
The aim of the education is to recapitulate fundamentals of Czech chemical nomenclature (including IUPAC recommendations 1993) to the extent necessary for understanding the course of chemistry.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, students should be able to:
- write chemical formulas of compounds upon their names,
- write names of compounds upon their chemical formulas.

Assessment methods
Termination:
Not more than three absentions.
The student must have solved all the exercises at ROPOTs of this subject at IS MU, each of them at least 75% correctly.
During the semester, tests will be written, each for 15-30 points. The terms of the tests will be announced in advance. Students must receive at least 60 % of the points.
Alternate tests for the absence (just only because of serious health problems - a document of the physician is required) will be written in January.
If the student does not have enough points in the small tests, he or she can write a big test in the extent of the whole semester. 60 % points is required. One repetition of the large test is allowed.
