Course objectives
The subject of the course is focused on the basic methods of listening activities and musical kinaesthetic activities. To understand musical communication, the means of musical expression that students acquire in connection with the song, the dance, elements of movement and the listening of the selected compositions.
Syllabus
  • Musical kinaesthetic activities: expressive means of motion - elementary movement and dance element (folk dance, polka, menuet, mazurka, waltz, historical dances - in connection with song and listening composition). 2. Improvisation - rhythmical, melodical and by moving/dancing to music. 3. Perceptive activities - listening activities: listening objectives, musical means of expression – “musical speech”, types of listening, methodology of listening - interconnection with vocal, instrumental and musical activities. 4. Music teaching activities related to vocal and listening activities.

Teaching methods
Practical training: singing, accompaniment to elementary music instruments, body play, elementary kinaesthetic elements and dance steps, conducting. Playing the piano/violin. The student is focused on the issues of listening activities; the student has mastered methodological approach in practice and can use dance elements in practice. Writing a lesson preparation for a Music class. Work on the subject of teaching portfolio for Music.
Assessment methods
Type of teaching: seminar Credit requirements: a) Students will show their theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired in the subjects of Didactics of Music for Primary Education 2. There will be an Oral part for the Theory of Didactics of Music 2 and there will also be a practical part (such as singing, conducting, playing piano/violin and/or recorder, etc). b)20 folk songs (10 of them in polyphonic arrangement), 12 artificial/popular songs and 8 songs from music history (for 2nd Educational level): singing, playing the piano/violin – transposing folk songs up to major third, conducting, optional accompaniment for songs - rhythmical, instrumental or kinaesthetic element. c) Mastering the basics of playing the soprano recorder - 10 folk songs. d) Writing a lesson preparation for a Music class. e) Creation of a teaching portfolio for Music. f) A minimum of 80% active participation in seminars.
