Abstract
This course is a follow-up course of the “NJ_D201” in the winter term and finishes the revision of German core grammar in the first year. It deals with some basic syntactic construction types in German. By attending grammar course 1 & 2, students get prepared for the final exam at the end of the first year. At the end of the course, students should be able to: - use the most common forms and structures of German in spoken and written communication, - identify problematic cases and come up with acceptable solutions (using textbooks and reference grammars).
Key topics
  • - conditiopnal I and conditional II,
  • - Infinitival constructions,
  • - Verb position in matrix sentences and embedded sentences,
  • - Conjunctions and different types of conjoined sentences (causal, conditional, etc)
