- Course objectives
- The goal is to understand and be able to explain the term intellectual disability in the context of the current concept of terminology in Pedagogy of persons with mental disabilities. Part of the course is to acquire knowledge about the current options diagnosis and education of pupils with mild mental disabilities, including joint training with intact pupils. Students should be able to present reasoned decision on the inclusion of pupils with mild mental disabilities the educational system and to interpret his knowledge of advice and legislation. he student has theoretical knowledge of personality, diagnosis and education of people with mental disabilities; able to explain the term mental retardation and interpret it in a contemporary approach to terminology of the field; able to use theoretical knowledge in the education of pupils with mild mental disabilities; can justify the inclusion of pupils with mild mental disabilities into the educational system.
- Syllabus
- The theory of education of pupils with mild mental disabilities, terminology bases. Personality pupil with mild mental retardation. Consulting services providing services for pupils with mild mental disabilities. Career guidance. General educational program for preschool education, preparatory classes and child with mild mental disabilities. Elementary School. Definition of the system of education for pupils with mild mental disabilities. Framework educational program for basic education and pupils with mild mental disabilities. Special education diagnostics with a focus on pupils with mild mental disabilities. Didactic principles, methods, teaching forms, types of lessons, preparing the structure for teachers lesson forward in the education of pupils with mild mental disabilities. Methodology of teaching the Czech language and literature for pupils with mild mental disabilities. Methodology of Teaching Mathematics and Its Applications for pupils with mild mental disabilities. Central and lifelong education for people with mild mental disabilities. Legislation on the issue of education of pupils with mild mental disabilities.

- 1. Active attendance at seminars partially mandatory participation. 2. Written exam. To pass the exam required 70% correct answers. Literature, legislation and requirements for completion of the course will be determined by the teacher at the beginning of instruction.
