Course objectives
The course is focused on a development of students’ creative capacities. It concentrates on attenders’ literary activities, the literary production is followed by group discussions on texts. Students are also acquainted with theoretical basics of the discipline, nevertheless the emphasis is put on practical training of strategies contributing to successful creative writing, especially questions and problems of authorial work connected with a process of structuring artistic prosaic texts. The course also includes training of interpretations of sample texts written by reputable authors, which enables students to understand rules of the production of prosaic work.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students will: - improve their level of written discourse; - develop their creative literary capacities; - understand inner prosaic rules; - penetrate artistic texts better; - improve their competence of literary criticism.

Writing; text analysis; group discussions; homework.
Assessment methods
Credit requirements: active participation in classes (75% attendance, production of texts in seminars), discussion contribution, homework and handing in a set of texts written in the course.
