Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide an overview of the tools of prevention and epidemiology that serve to maintain health and protect it from different types of risk. The participant will be able to understand the basic concepts of prevention and epidemiology with a focus on current topics according to the syllabus. Based on the knowledge acquired, the participant/learner will be able to interpret data on the epidemiology of infectious and non-communicable diseases and risk behaviour.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the participant will: - formulate the main current issues in the field of human health, its protection and promotion; - actively seek out new information and critically evaluate it; - understands the importance of family and school as significant elements influencing the health of the individual and the population; - assess their risk behaviours and actively participate in improving their lifestyle.

  • 1. Selected topics in ecology. 2. Selected topics in genetics. 3. Selected topics in infectious disease prevention. 4.-5. Selected topics in the prevention of non-communicable diseases. 6.-7. Selected topics in the prevention of risk behaviors. 8.-10. Current topics in health education.

Teaching is in the form of a webinar.

Discussion of a seminar paper on a selected topic.
