Abstract
The aim of the course is that students will understand the methods and forms in mathematical education, formation of mathematics concepts, history of mathematics. Creative abilities in the education process, experiments methods.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to: understand the methods and forms in mathematical education. Use various ways of teaching in mathematics. Understand the development of mathematical concepts from the point of view of history.
Key topics
Manipulative activities in teaching various topics of mathematics in elementary schools. Different approaches to solving mathematical problems. Combinatorics in elementary schools. Teaching geometry focused on effective acquisition of knowledge. History of mathematics and possibilities of its use in school mathematics. Education of pupils with specific educational needs. History of mathematics in relation to teaching mathematics.
