Abstract
The objective of the course is to extend the basic diagnostic methods with which the students have been introduced in the previous semester and to equip students with knowledge and skills related to student learning - its course and its results.
Course Objectives:
- to set an appropriate diagnostic goal;
- to conduct a diagnostic assessment of a selected child;
- to process and analyze the data obtained about the child;
- to propose support measures based on an analysis of the child's needs.
Learning outcomes
Student:
- determines the appropriate diagnostic target;
- diagnoses the child using appropriate methods;
- processes and evaluates the data obtained;
- interprets the data and makes a pedagogical diagnosis;
- proposes appropriate support measures based on the diagnostic activity.

Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
Reflection of student seminar work and his/her portfolio + oral or written exam.
Term paper is evaluated according to the following criteria:
• use the correct terminology of educational assessment;
• collection of assessment data to the objective planned assessment activities;
• evaluation and interpretation od the assessment data;
• definition of the diagnosis and suggestion of possible measures.

Teacher's information
Students going on a study abroad program may fulfill the course requirements for the entire semester following their return. The requirements are the same for them. For the final face-to-face meeting/discussion, they will bring a completed portfolio with assignments that have been given during the semester in each topic. The internship can be completed abroad if the university allows the student to attend the grade level equivalent to the first grade of elementary school in the Czech Republic. The internship can also be completed after returning to the Czech Republic. Students studying the combined form of study will complete 2 hours of practice at the Didaktis faculty primary school and a minimum of 10 hours of practice at the primary school of their choice.
