Abstract
The course focuses on the preparation of a bachelor’s thesis, from selecting a topic to developing the thesis proposal. Students select a topic corresponding to their field of study, formulate the thesis objective, and conduct basic research in the relevant literature. As part of the course, they establish cooperation with their thesis advisor and familiarize themselves with the department’s thesis standards (KSIP Thesis Standards) and applicable regulations (including Dean’s Directive No. 1/2015). This includes proposing a methodological approach, selecting appropriate methods and techniques, and developing a project proposal for the bachelor’s thesis, which serves as the basis for its subsequent implementation.
Learning outcomes

Selects a topic for the bachelor’s thesis in accordance with their field of study and is able to justify its relevance.


Formulates the thesis objective and research questions or the intended application outcome based on their understanding of the subject matter.


Searches for and critically evaluates academic sources and creates a basic overview of the topic under study.


Proposes a basic methodological approach for the thesis, including the selection of appropriate methods and techniques.


Prepares a bachelor’s thesis proposal in the required structure and quality.


Communicates with the thesis advisor and incorporates their feedback when revising the proposal.


Is familiar with the standards and norms for final theses and applies them when drafting the proposal.


By the end of the course, the student is prepared to begin writing their bachelor’s thesis.
