Abstract
The 1st part of the main course on Latvian grammar.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to use the Latvian on basic lexical and grammatical level, i. e. to decline nouns, conjugate verbs and make basic conversations (to introduce him/her self, family etc.)
Key topics
  • In this semester, we present a brief outlook of Latvian history and work with 1) Latvian noun cases and 2) present verb tense.
  • The vocabulary taught this semester consists of 1) family 2) professions 3) basic conversation phrases 4) languages.
