- Course objectives
- The purpose of this course is to develop better understanding of authentic Lithuanian language: both spoken and written Lithuanian. Students deepen their listening, reading, communicative skills and broaden their vocabulary.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, student will be able to:
understand basic spoken and written Lithuanian;
communicate on given topics using new words and phrases. - Syllabus
- Listening and translating extracts from movies, theatre, interviews, songs;
- Reading and translating extracts from media, literature;
- Synonyms and antonyms;
- Conversations on given topics.

- Seminars, listening, reading, class discussion
- Assessment methods
- Written test. Written test consists of multiple-choice questions and two exercises aimed at comprehension of the text and conversational skills. Test includes the material (extracts, new phrases) that were discussed during the seminars.
