The course is intended for students with very advanced knowledge, a good knowledge of grammar is assumed. The course is intended for native speakers and students with language mastered at native speaker level.

Course objectives
Development of academic and communicative skills and professional language designed for non-core philosophy students; achievement of C2 level of competence according to the CEFR. Special attention will be paid to accuracy, correctness and freedom of expression, both oral and written.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student will be able to work with various professional texts at the level of an editor, editor, translator, improve in writing academic texts, improve in their theoretical knowledge of russian language (grammar, syntax).
Syllabus
  • The thematic orientation of the course is based on the field of humanities. Language, academic and other skills to be developed: - writing academic texts (essays, summaries, articles) - argumentation - oral presentation techniques - self-reflective writing.

Teaching methods
Presentations, discussions, work with authentic materials and specialized texts, group work.
Assessment methods
The course is assessed by compulsory portfolio assignments, to which formative feedback will be given; by assignments completed during the semester; by the final assignment in the oral examination (presentation and discussion). Active participation in seminars is mandatory; attendance is a minimum of 70%.
