Course objectives
Lessons in the seminar are organized in blocks and proceed in form of discussions on the following topics:
1. How to lead a student project, seminar works and final works at university;
2. Preparation of a seminar or workshop for BA and MA students;
3. Work of a student and a teacher with primary and secondary literature;
4. Preparation and principles of planning and realization of a research in literary education.
Learning outcomes
After the completon of the course, the student shall be able:
- to supervise the students' research papers or final theses on university level;
- to design a plan and syllabus of a seminar or workshop for B.A. and M.A. students;
- to prepare an academic work with primary and secondary literature from didactic perspective;
- to apply the basics of planning and realization of research to literary education.
Syllabus
  • - Assignment of students’ works. Techniques of looking for, setting and developing topics. Academic writing.
  • - Preparation of the lesson plan. Preparation of a lesson. Management of a lesson.
  • - Work with literature, catalogue of reading.
  • - Assessment of students’ works. Assessment and reflection of lessons. Self-reflection.
  • - Structure of office hour consultations.
  • - Leading of students’ works. Elaboration of an expert opinion.
