Course objectives
Active knowledge of museum educator´s profession by participation on all activities of this work; attainment of basic competence for education work in museum or other cultural institution; participation on practical realisation of educational actvities in form of group cooperation.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- understand the planning and implementation of educational activities in the museum institution in which he performed the internship;
- actively participate in the preparation of museum-educational activities.
Syllabus
  • Practice in education center of specified museum (the offer of internships is detailed at the introductory information meeting) during one semester taking 100 hours regardless of the field of study; students participate on professional educational activities of Education center; e.g. assist in creation and realization of educational programme and other activities for public, creation of working sheets etc.

Assessment methods
The student is obliged to attend an initial information meeting convened at the beginning of the semester, at which the details of the internship will be agreed (selection from institutions with which the department has concluded internship contracts). The student starts the internship only after the official approval of the internship institution by the authorized person from the Centre of Museology and is obliged to start the internship in accordance with the instructions of his/her internship supervisor. Internship, credit - on the basis of completed internship forms from the respective museum. In case of failure to meet the requirements above, the internship will not be accepted as completed.
