Prerequisites
The course is intended primarily for the students of the Computational Linguistics programme. However, it is open to all students who are knowledgeable in topics of (computational) linguistics.

Course objectives
The course aims to organise three meetings of experts with both professional and general public. The course will cover the full range of activities that are needed to organise such meeting (choosing a topic, inviting speakers, organising the event, getting feedback, (self)reflection and ideas for improvement).
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- communicate with experts on a professional level,
- participate in a group work more efficiently,
- plan an expert meeting with all its requisites,
- organise an expert meeting on-site,
- give feedback.

  • introductory lesson (group selection, detailed information about course’s schedule, approximate plan of meetings)
  • consultations regarding the preparations of individual meetings
  • realisation of said meetings
  • concluding lesson (feedback, discussion)

Teaching methods
Introductory lesson, work in groups with regular consultations, realisation of a meeting, concluding lesson with a discussion.
Assessment methods
Fully organise one meeting during the semester (in a group), attend the other groups’ meetings and provide them with feedback, attend the introductory and concluding lesson.
