- Course objectives
- The seminar is designed as an introduction to the world of Michel Foucault. We will focus on the importance of his work for humanities and theoretical thinking about literature.
- Syllabus
- - Foucaults life and work in outline, the context of postmodernism and French poststructuralism
- - Foucaults key (concepts,) notions and themes (epistémé, discours, power, subject, archeology, genealogy, the death of author, etc.)
- - Intepretations and analyses of Foucalts texts transleted in Czech or Slovak.
