Course objectives
This seminar has not a proper scheme, because the text to be read is changed every year. The texts are usually chosen from obligatory reading texts (Plato, Sophocles), resp. from other Attic authors of the Classical period.
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction to reading of the authors text.
  • 2. Social and cultural context.
  • 3.-12. Reading and interpretation of selected parts of the text (approximately two pages of the text of Teubners edition are interpreted during every lesson): analysis of specific morphological, syntactic, lexical and stylistic phenomena textual variants and interpretation of scholia literary analysis of the text.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Předpokladem k uzavření předmětu kolokviem je aktivní účast studenta v seminářích a úspěšné absolvování písemného testu. Při ústní zkoušce musí student prokázat na vybraném úryvku velmi dobrou schopnost interpretace a správného překladu.
