- Základní znalost angličtiny a němčiny, výuka je vedena v češtině jen částečně (rodilým mluvčím). Omezení zápisu do předmětu: Předmět je nabízen i studentům mimo mateřské obory. Mateřské obory: předmět má 8 mateřských oborů. Vhodné pro lingvisty, historiky, uměnovědce a religionisty. - Abstract
Persian and its geographical, lingvistical, cultural and historical background.
With concentration on language structure and the basic vocabulary.
At the end of this course, students should be able to to use vocabulary in these main themes:

- Syllabus - geographical and political borders of Iran; culture; history (e. g. Persepolis, Isfahán, Tabríz, Teherán); religion; history development - choice: since dynasty Achamenid till Pahlaví dynasty; 1st World War; 2nd World War; Islamic Republic (1979); languages of Iran – a brief history towards modern language Persian (Farsi); sociolinquistical relations of Iranian languages (Farsi, Dari, Tajiki), structure of Farsi (a grammar choice: basic categories)
