The course is aimed at complete beginners, no previous knowledge of Latin is expected.

Course objectives
The course is focused on facts concerning the Latin grammar. Attention is paid eg to Latin morphology and syntax, in the extent that can enable students of German to work with elementary Latin texts.

  • The course is focused on facts concerning the development of Latin. Attention is paid e.g. to pronunciation, basic morphology and syntax.

Requirements for credit: regular attendance at seminars (75%) and successful scores in two written tests during the semester and a Final test.
