Course objectives
The main aim of the research seminar is to find out more about the early widescreen cinema in Czechoslovakia, up to 1970. The seminar will be divided into two parts – during the first one, students will study existing texts on the widescreen cinema, especially those concerning the history of technology and style. In the second half, each participant will work on an analysis of a Czechoslovak widescreen film of his or her choice.
