Posluchač musí prokázat znalost německého jazyka slovem a písmem. Musí ovládnout historickýc vývoj disciplíny, kategorizovat jednotlivé aktéry evropského archivního vývoje.

Course objectives
The course makes students familiar with archive theory and methodology. A) Basic terminology (archive, archival record, archive studies, chancellery, filling department, register office, administrative archives etc.). B) Records management (pre-archive care, destruction of records, basic filling principles, repositories and collections of records, records handling, archival gateway, archival tools). II. Records and Information Management (regulations in the archives, research and its goals, publicity, records editing – archeography). III. History and establishment of Czechoslovak archive studies (legislation, education of archivists). IV. Archive techniques (archive sites and their equipment, conservation and restoration of records).
