Course objectives
The course Practical exercises in Orthography II is a continuation of Practical exercises in Ortography II. Students will practice writing i/y after soft, hard and ambiguous consonants, exceptions, endings of substantives, adjectives and verbs, diacritical signs, dictations, writing ú/ů/u, prefixes s-z, groups: bě/bje – pě/pje-vě/vje – mě/mně, double consonants. New subjects: punctuation, writing capital letters and words taken from foreign languages. Students will write exercises and dictations. The aim of the course is to improve and enrich knowledge obtained in CJQ002 and introduce new ortographical phenomena.
Syllabus
  • Subjects from seminar CJQ002 and CJQ010 and new subject matters will be practiced: 1/ punctuation in a simple sentence 2/ punctuation in a complex sentence 3/ writing capital letters 4/ writing foreign words Theory will be completed with practical exercises (collective work during lessons) and short tests.

Theory will be completed with practical exercises (collective work during lessons) and short tests + homeworks.
Assessment methods
Homeworks, drills and written exam (dictation and test) in the end of the term. Exam requirements: attendance - at least 75%, active participation.
