Course objectives
The course is taught in Modern Greek. The main aims of the course are: developing basic communicative abilities in Modern Greek, practice of grammatical phenomena and topics dealt with in Modern Greek Grammar III (lessons 20-29 of the Basics of Modern Greek). At the end of the course, students will be able to actively communicate in Modern Greek. They will be capable of producing a text concerning discussed topics. They will be capable of understanding Modern Greek texts which deal with the discussed topics.
Syllabus
  • Conversation topics: the Olympic Games, nature, ecology, the sea, Greek islands, social relations, geography of Greece, industry, Prague, law, Cyprus, Greek press.
  • Topics from Greek magazines, newspapers and literature, watching videos about Greece.
  • Orthography practice, independent writing practice.
