Course objectives
The aim of this course is to introduce students to the discipline Czech as a foreign language, language teaching methods and contemporary textbooks. The course is focused on the typology of Czech, the differences in teaching native and non-native speakers, language teaching methods, the descriptions of Czech in CEFR, the differences between spoken and written Czech, colloquial Czech in teaching, teaching grammar, basic language skills, sociocultural skills, second language acquisition, error correction and integration of foreign children at primary school. The main aims of this course are: introduction into Czech as a foreign language and language teaching methods, the analysis of textbooks of Czech for foreigners and the preparation of the course for foreigners.

Teaching of Czech grammar I (declension) 5. Teaching of Czech grammar II (conjugation) 6. Basic language skills I (reading and text) 7. Basic language skills II (listening, speaking, writing) 8. Teaching without an intermediary language 9. Socicultural skills and a multicultural class 10. Typology of exercises and a course preparation 11. Second language acquisition and the error correction 12. Integration of foreign children at primary school
