Prerequisites
In order to be admitted to the seminar, students must complete the 4th semester of their studies successfully , obtain the prescribed amount of credits and fulfill the prescribed reading.

Course objectives
Individual consultations with the thesis advisor which take place accordnig to the needs of the student and with a view to the quality and completedness of the work. The diploma thesis addresses a scholarly issue at a level appropriate to the degree being pursued. In the diploma thesis the student must demonstrate the ability to work independently meeting the academic standards, knowledge and understanding of the relevant scholarly literature and the ability to analyze the issue under study.
Syllabus
  • The goal of the diploma seminar is to assist the student in completing the diploma thesis and prepare him/her for its successful defence. The timetable for the consultations is arranged on an individual basis.

Teaching methods
Individual advisor-student tutorial in methodology of writing the diploma thesis: synopsis, introduction, methods of text analysis, argumentation and conclusion.
Assessment methods
The advisor awards the course-unit credit for the semester on the basis of examination of particular parts of diploma-thesis and students ability to work out the advisors comments on it.
