- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is to teach the students basic Dutch so that the students are able to communicate in everyday basic situations. We focus on all four skills - speaking + proper pronunciation, listening, writing and reading. The student also acquires basic knowledge of grammar and vocabulary and realia of the topics we focus on during the course.
There is a follow up course - Dutch for beginners II. At the end of both courses is the expected level A1 - A2 of the European Framework of Reference for Languages. - Syllabus
- There are four topics which we focus on in the course. These topics are the topics of the first four or five chapters from the textbook Help 1: 1.Introduction
- 2. Getting to know each other
- 3. On the road
- 4. In a restaurant
- Teaching methods
- weakly lessons - 2 hours per week
- Assessment methods
- written midterm test, evaluation of homework. At the end of the semester a credit test
