Course objectives
Tutorium III supplements the course Modern Greek Grammar III. The aim of the course is to exercise deeply the orthography and various problematic phenomenona of Modern Greek grammar.
Syllabus
  • Grammar: Basics of Modern Greek Language, lessons 20-29: irregular substantives and adjectives, multi-stem verbs, the conditional, subjunctive for expressing wishes, the potential, contracted irregular verbs, 1st conjugation passive – a detailed survey, conditional sentences, clauses of result.
  • Orthography practice.
  • Translation into Modern Greek.
  • Essay writing.
  • Reading of Modern Greek texts.

The course has a form of a seminar. Homework is required – students prepare assigned grammatical exercises.
