Course objectives
1. Students will have gained a deeper knowledge and understanding of the cultures of the Chinese world. 2. Students will have developed new insights into the nature of language and culture that will allow them to establish comparisons not only between languages, but also between the Chinese cultures and their own.

C.Rules of Presentation> 1. Use Chinese to do the presentation. 2. The length of presentation should be longer than 10 minutes. 3. Student should consult with teacher about their presentation at least one time before 01.11. D.Record in Class For enhancing instructor’s teaching performance, we will record it for several times. It will not interrupt the progressing of class. E.Text book-Find in Study Materials: *The author of the textbook is Zhōu Yúshān, Wáng yǎxuān, Yè Pèiyú.
Teaching methods
The course is taught by a native speaker who combines various methods of teaching - class discussion, conversations and oral presentations.
Assessment methods
1. Attendance: 30%(Attendance policy: Missing max. 1 session is tolerated. Exceeding the limit automatically results in Failure.) 2. Participation: 30% (Students should participate in class discussion aggressively) 3. Presentation: 40%
