Abstract
Major B.A. Thesis: the required length of Major B.A. Thesis depends on its field and topic, yet a minimum of 50,000 characters is required. The electronic version is submitted to IS MU. The printed version must be typed on white paper (A4), pages should be numbered and bound in a hard-back. The title page which includes the name of the university, the faculty and the department, the name of the thesis, the name of its author and its supervisor and the year when the thesis was written is obligatory.
The Major B.A. Thesis also includes the author's declaration that the thesis is his work, the table of contents and the list of the works cited. The topics for major B.A. theses are assigned mainly by the teachers listed in the course catalogue. There is a public defence of the Major B.A. Thesis at the Department of Classical Studies, see the study regulations.
Key topics
Student choose the topic of their Minor B.A. Thesis after consulting with their supervisor. They attend the Minor B.A. Thesis Seminar and consult the progress of their work with their supervisors.

Téma bakalářské práce je nutné zaregistrovat v IS MU prostřednictvím agendy "Rozpisy studentů". Termíny a povinnosti, které s bakalářskou prací souvisejí, jsou uvedeny na stránkách FF: http://www.phil.muni.cz/wff/home/studium/informace/predpisy-a-navody/faq#predstatnici.
Seznam aktuálně vypsaných témat je uveden v rozpisu "Bakalářská diplomová práce: Latinský jazyk a literatura". Pokud studentovi žádné z vypsaných témat nevyhovuje, může se obrátit na jednotlivé vyučující podle toho, zda by se chtěl zabývat literaturou, jazykem nebo historií. Společně se pak pokusí najít vhodné téma. Je vhodné zabývat se volbou tématu práce s dostatečným (např. ročním) předstihem před plánovaným ukončením studia a vyhradit si na zpracování práce dostatečné množství času (tj. více než poslední semestr studia).
Práce se odevzdává do archivu závěrečných prací v IS MU a ve dvou výtiscích na Ústavu klasických studií. Požadavky kladené na bakalářskou práci jsou zveřejněny na webových stránkách FF pod odkazem Vzor diplomových prací (https://is.muni.cz/auth/do/1421/4581421/Vzor_bakalarske_prace.pdf) a na stránkách Ústavu klasických studií pod odkazem diplomové práce - pokyny k odevzdávání a úpravě (http://www.phil.muni.cz/wuks/home/studium)
Termíny pro odevzdání bakalářské práce: 15. 12., 15. 5., 30. 6. podle toho, jaký termín zkoušky si student zvolí. Harmonogram výběru tématu a odevzdání závěrečné práce závazný pro celou fakultu je uveden na stránkách FF http://www.phil.muni.cz/plonedata/wff/studium/navody/harmonogram_rozpisu_temat_szz.pdf
Po odevzdání práce jsou do archivu závěrečné práce vloženy posudky školitele a oponenta. Student si je přečte a k obhajobě práce si připraví stručné představení práce a reakci na výtky obsažené v obou posudcích.
