Students have to have completed the Archival Studies I and II courses and Archival Practice I.

Course objectives
The practical work takes place in the Moravian Archives in a weekly block of 40 hours after the end of the autumn semester based on the established academic programme. Students gradually work on individual archival activities and broaden their knowledge gained during the Archival Studies I-III and Archival Practice courses.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- practically apply their theoretical knowledge of archival science;
- describe the basic functions of a provincial and state archive.
Syllabus
  • Introduction - general introduction to the Moravian Archives, the collections, departments and tasks in the pre-archive care. The practical work consists of - completing individual tasks in the cataloguing department and the research department under the guidance of a designated tutor from the Moravian Archives.
