German for Academic and Specific Purposes II follows the course CJVN1B. Students do not have to have CJVN1B completed before enroling this course.

Course objectives
Students should have a B2 (Common European Framework of Reference) level of German language competence. The course is focused on academic text comprehension, ability to communicate and present academic topics. Student should be able to follow an academic discussion, understand the main ideas of academic texts of their field of study, interact with a native speaker fluently and spontaneously, and explain their opinion on current issues.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the students will be able to: give a presentation dealing with topic related to their studies and discuss the topic; write a letter; answer questions about a reading or listening text from academic context.

Discussions in class, conversation about the given topic, listening, reading assignements, grammar excercices, presentations prepared by students
Assessment methods
The credit course is completed by an exam. The exam has two parts – written (listening, reading and grammar, writening) and oral (presentation + discussion on an academic/professional topic).
