Course objectives
The aim of the seminar is to prepare an article to be published either in conference proceedings or in a scholarly linguistic journal. The article may be written in any language.
Learning outcomes
Having participated in the course, students will be able:
- to write a scholarly study ready for publishing either in a scholarly journal or in conference proceedings,
- to know standards and usage relevant for publishing scholarly studies,
- to understand the essence and sense of peer reviewing.
Syllabus
  • - The choice of topic.
  • - A research insources.
  • - The choice of sources/research methods.
  • - Formulating hypotheses and aims.
  • - The research itself (an experiment, a questionnaire research etc.).
  • - Evaluation of the research.
  • - Conclusions.
  • - Writing the study.
Literature
  • Výběr literatury je individuální.
Teaching methods
Analysis of the relevant literature, analysis of the linguistic data.
Assessment methods
Credit will be given for submission a paper for publication.
