Course objectives
The course focuses on the development of plurilingual competences, in particular the ability to communicate in a multilingual, multicultural environment and the ability to mediate information and concepts across languages and cultures.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to: - describe and explain important phenomena and concepts typical of their own culture; - understand the description of phenomena and concepts in other cultures and be sensitive to their differences; - work with materials in different languages and combine them appropriately; - convey understanding of texts in another language in English; - communicate effectively in a multicultural environment using basic strategies that foster plurilingual communication; - engage in teamwork; - present to plurilingual audiences who do not share a language of communication.

Teaching methods
Communication and mediation activities, class discussions, individual and group projects, minipresentations.
Assessment methods
Continuous tasks (30%), group project (30%), final presentation (40%).
