Course objectives
The course is designed as a set of in-depth studies in the direction of the thesis and is therefore intended for students enrolled in the 5th semester and who have already chosen their thesis topic or at least the field (literary or linguistic). The course is divided into two segments. The first segment is common and consists of an academic writing course. The second is more directly oriented towards theoretical-methodological preparation for the thesis and is to be chosen from the following: 1. Linguistic Landscapes (self-study: https://www.uni-potsdam.de/de/educ/fuer-studierende/linguistic-landscapes) 2. Learning Italian as a second language (self-study, material to be agreed) 3. Problems of Italian Morphosyntax (self-study, materials to be agreed) 4. Literature pathway 1 (to be defined) 5. Literature pathway 2 (to be defined) 6. Literature path 3 (to be defined)
Learning outcomes
Tools and methods for thesis writing. Linguistic landscapes. Acquisition of Italian (morphosyntax problems). Data collection and transcription methods. Plurilingualism and diversity. Morphosyntax problems.
