- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to provide the students with an overview of different methodological approaches that can be applied in treating the topic of the dissertation. Emphasis is put on the method suitable for a particular student or students. In the course of his/her studies, the student deepens his/her knowledge of the selected method under the supervision of the tutor.
- Learning outcomes
- After the completion of the course the student will be able to:
present different methodological approaches that can be applied in treating given topic;
justify the selection of the method that will be used;
name and explain the basics of the selected method;
he/she will be acquainted with the main methodological issues of the field and will be able to ponder over them independently. - Syllabus
- Various methodological approaches applicable to the studied topic.
- Explanation of the basics of the method selected for the dissertation.

- The course has the form of individual tutorial sessions as well as team-work seminars. Discussion over individual methods (their advantages and disadvantages, suitability for different topics etc.) is a part of the course.
