- Prerequisites (in Czech)
- Cílem kurzu je seznámit studenty s historií ukrajinského filmu, s postavením ukrajinského kinematografu v sovětském období a se stanovením ukrajinského filmu v nezávislé Ukrajině. Budeme se věnovat i současné situaci v ukrajinském kinematografu. Studenti si rozšíří znalosti o ukrajinské kultuře a posílí vědomosti o ukrajinské historii obecně.

- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The course assumes students familiar with the culture, traditions, history of Ukraine, extending their language skills through Ukrainian films representing various historical periods and the film schools.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
summarize the important features of the main periods of Ukrainian film history
better understand the cultural situation in Ukraine of different periods

- 1. The beginnings of Ukrainian film. Oleksandr Dovzhenko
- 2. Representative of the "Ukrainian Renaissance" in cinematography. Dzyga Vertov
- 3. Ukrainian poetic cinema. Serhiy Paradzhanov, Yuri Illyenko
- 4. Ukrainian cinema in the 80s. Kira Muratova, Yuri Illjenko.
- 5. Cinematography in the independence period. Stagnation in the years 1990-2000.
- 6. New experiments in filmmaking. The first Ukrainian thriller "Stolnya".
- 7. Ukrainian TV series. Century of Yakov.
- 8. 2014 and a new Ukrainian film. The first Ukrainian blockbuster Povodyr.
- 9. War theme in Ukrainian cinema. The film Cyborgs by Akhtem Seitablayev.
- 10. New co-production films and series. Myroslav Slaboshpytsky's film Plemja. Polish-Czech-Ukrainian series The Principle of Slasti.
