Course objectives (in Czech)
Přednáška pojednává o L. Janáčkovi a V. Novákovi a jejich škole z údobí mezi dvěma válkami. Ve výkladu hudby údobí po roce 1945 analyzuje příčiny dopadu "socialistického realismu" na formování generace 1948 a kritickou reakci na jeho dogmata v díle brněnského kompozičního týmu a skladatelů ostravského centra. Všímá si různých forem avantgardismu a postmodernismu české hudby na Moravě až po současnost.
Syllabus
  • The course deals with L. Janáček and V. Novák and their school between the two wars. Within the interpretation of music after 1945 it analyses the reasons of influence of "socialistic realism" on the generation of 1948 and the critical reaction to its dogmas in the works of Brno composition team and the Ostrava composers. It notices the various forms of avant-garde and postmodernism in the Czech music in Moravia till the present time.
