Abstract
The main themes of this course are the theoretical and practical study of articulation and acoustic features of Russian sounds in different combinations and positions, as well as the theory of phonemes from the standpoint of different schools of phonology. Throughout the course, aspects of modern Russian literary pronunciation are studied. A separate section includes the theory of graphics and spellings.
Key topics
Vocals and consonants in Modern Russian from the viewpoint of phonetics and phonology, with focus on the Russian system and the relation to the sound structure of the students' mother tongue. Structure of a continuous speech. Changes of realizations in the continuous speech; basic types of changes. Modulation of continuous speech, its means and its function in communication. Orthoepy. Sources of the Russian orthoepic norms and its development.

Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements (in Czech)
Výuka je ukončena zkouškou, která integruje i teoretické poznatky semináře. Zkouška má část písemnou a ústní. V písemné části student prokáže znalost zvukového rozboru ruštiny určením fonetických vlastností hlásek ve vybraném výrazu: u vokálů pozice ve vokalickém trojúhelníku a u redukovaných jejich skutečnou fonetickou platnost, a to včetně vlivu akomodace, u konsonantů způsob artikulace a artikulující orgán, znělost - ev. sonornost - a měkkost. Dále prokáže pasivní znalost ruské a do ruštiny adaptované mezinárodní terminologie (význam termínu, příklad z ruštiny). Ústní část se zaměřuje na výklad souvislostí v rámci disciplíny; orientačně její rámec vymezují otázky výše. Důraz se klade na konfrontaci mateřského jazyka (v mezích základních znalostí) a ruštiny.
