- Course objectives
- We shall continue in the reading of the Roman laws, and so about the so called patrocinium and its role in the development of feudalismus.
- Syllabus
- 1) The reading of the laws about the patrocinium in the Roman East, which we find in the Codex Theodosianus. 2) The reading of such laws in Codex Iustiniuanus 3) As a comparision -- the reading of some parts from the work of Salvian "De gubernationě Dei" (the patrocinium in the West) 4) The historical interpretation of all these sources.
