Středoškolské znalosti českého pravopisu (maturita z českého jazyka). Předmět je určen pro studenty FF MU.

Course objectives

If students write a seminar paper, their B.A. or M.A. thesis or simply a letter and wish to create a text which would not only be interesting, but also contained no mistakes, and could therefore be evaluated more favourably by the recipient, they can choose this optional course. This course is meant as a practical help to all who wish to create their texts (scholarly or other) without mistakes, using cultivated Czech. The course is focused on specific features of written texts - the topics to be dealt with include rules of writing Czech words, loan-words, capitalization, abbreviations, punctuation, hyphenation, as well as with morphological and syntactic issues reflected by orthography. Information about the most important books on these issues will also be included, as well as possibilities of solving problems which are not dealt with in them. The particular topics will always be linked with practical exercises. At the end of the course, there will be a written test checking the acquired knowledge.

Assessment methods (in Czech)

Podmínkou připuštění k zápočtovému testu je s ohledem na praktické změření předmětu kromě aktivní práce v semináři také splněná docházka (tj. maximálně 2 absence za semestr).
