Course objectives
An introduction to reading an original Greek text.
Syllabus
Introduction into optative and its functions. Perfect stem inflection of thematic verbs. Xenophon as a writer. Historical and cultural background. The course is focused on commented reading of Xenophon's Cyroupaedia. The main stress is put on the ability to provide a fitting Czech translation, both syntactically and stylistically.
